6 months ago, a recently retired Arlington Firefighter, David Culhane, lost his courageous battle with Leukemia. His wife, Deidre, teamed up with Tarrant County College to establish the David Culhane Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship will support firefighter candidates who are choosing to enter the same life of service David dedicated himself to for more than 38 years. Deidre’s heart is to honor David’s life by supporting future generations of firefighters – to give them the training they need to serve with the same leadership, compassion and confidence David did.
The fund will help train and prepare future firefighters at the TCC Fire Service Training center, a well-known, internationally recognized facility that provides the training necessary to pursue a career/calling in firefighting.
In order to make this scholarship a reality, Deidre needs to raise $30,000. Arlington Fire Charitable Group is proud to support the David Culhane Memorial Scholarship Fund through our efforts, but you can help, too.
